Because it is one of the prettiest cities in Banat and it lies on a south-eastern brink of Pannonian depression, right on the foothill of Vrsac Mountains. It is situated in the north-east from Belgrade at an 84 km distance, while the border with Romania is only 14 km away. It is very well connected with the surrounding counties and cities by the network of railroads and roads. There is a railroad border line with Romania in the town itself, while the road border crossing is in Vatin, a nearby county. The city is located on the international road Belgrade-Timisoara and there is also an international railroad Vienna-Budapest-Belgrade-Bucarest passing through it. Only three km away from the center of the town there is a Flight Academy of JAT, and an airport for smaller airplanes as a part of it as well, air-taxi and medium size flying machines.
